Mario Azzopardi has adapted a series of legends from all over the planet.  Chris Gruppetta discusses the vibrancy of the new project, which imbues the takes with a highly theatrical timbre.

>> Short Stories

In the coming weeks, Merlin Library Ltd. will publish a book of short stories specifically written for adolescents by Mario Azzopardi. "It is a bold collection," says Chris Gruppetta, director of the publishing house, "and we are proud Azzopardi has entrusted us with the publication of such challenging material."  The collection (still untitled) deals with realities that are normally submerged under a surface of platitudes or indifference, but Azzopardi does the unmasking in no uncertain way.  The collection is previewed here by Patricia Gatt, who often collaborates with the author in translating his poetry.
